Hidden Gem: Sunset Cliffs Prohibition Cave
While we’re not sure exactly what this is called, the rumors are that the cave served as a liquor tunnel during the Prohibition period. With hidden stairs and a long tunnel leading to a huge open space, it feels like you’re in Indiana Jones. This is difficult to find but if you can, it sure is worth it to climb inside during low tide. You can expect to get wet, end up barefoot, and be blind without a flashlight.

If you live in San Diego or venture down here and haven’t seen the Flower Fields, it’s something you have to do. It runs from March through mid-May and costs $12 to get in. Perfect place for grad pics or engagement photos.
